"The Room Within is the Great Fact about the Building"Frank Lloyd Wright |

Two of my designs were commissioned by the next-door neighbors on either side of my first home. The neighbors who built this home did most of their own interior decorating and landscape design with such good results that shortly after completion the home won the "Santa Barbara Beautiful" award. |

This is a very informal split-level two-bedroom plan design for two people. Because of the large oak trees on the south side of the house it was decided to put the solar panels on the roof. The solar engineer determined the best angle for the panels which in turn resulted in the unusual shape of the home. The resulting interior spaces are marvelous with one large space flowing from area to area. |
